AWAKENING TO UNIVERSAL HARMONY
What is extraordinary about the like the Planetary and the Planetary Initiative is that—if the world we choose—the words are funny because “choose” sounds like an intellectual choice. But actually, it’s not the choice of ego. It’s the choice to acknowledge the part of us that is a part of a connected universe that is deeper than our own separateness. That’s where the choice is. The only choice that an individual has to make is to awaken the God. That’s the only choice. All the rest of it is phony choice. And the minute you do that, all of it follows.
So we can call it choosing better worlds, choosing all that stuff, but the real choice is the choice to listen to that deeper harmony, to listen to the part that’s one rather than the many. And all the rest follows from that. And that’s really what the essence of these Planetary Initiative meetings. Donald Keys—when I meet him, I am meeting—I’m out of a Jewish tradition—I’m meeting a mensch, I’m meeting a being who is a fully connected being to that part of that’s beyond Donaldness and he meets beyond Donaldness and I meet beyond Richardness. And we look in each other’s eyes and we know one another. We know ourself. And then we play, and he’s got this beautiful part in the United Nations, and I have my part dancing around the country speaking. And you know, we just have these different parts to play.
And when you meet at a conference like this, it collects people who are obviously have egos and insecurities and all that, but you can look in their eyes and very often at a high proportion of these people, you looking to meet me here? You here? I’m here far out, here we are again on earth. What are you doing this time? Well, this time I’m a financial expert. Oh, how interesting. Is that fun? This time I have cancer. Gee, that’s bad. Is that interesting? That’s heavy.
I mean, I have a dying center. I work with people that are dying and you can’t—can you? see dying as a joyful experience, as an experience of transformation? Ah, here we go. There goes the body, ah so. New moment, new moment, there goes the breath, there goes the heat and cold. You know, it’s very extraordinary to be with conscious people. They can take everything, and they can transform it. They just do it. They see life as an opportunity to be given a set of experiences which they would only notice because of their attachments. That’s how we create our universe. And then the fact they notice that is the attachment and then they awaken through seeing that and moving into a space where they embraced it into themselves and then it disappears. And they see nothing, nothing special.
